Why does Co-op/Internship cost money?

All across Canada, co-op/internship programs have established fees. These fees help Lassonde recover some of the costs incurred while running, maintaining and promoting the co-op programs. Most students recover these costs within their first paycheck. Your fees contribute to:

  • Interview preparation
  • Access to an exclusive job board
  • Organizing & scheduling job interviews
  • Liaising between you and your employers
  • Conducting employer/employee evaluations
  • Providing resume critiques & career advising
  • Improving and ensuring a smooth Co-op experience
  • Monitoring jobs to ensure quality and safety standards
